Stupidity saves the day, or, cloying aspirations to knowing what in the hell WordPress is on about.

So I was trying to privatize all the old posts I had on here since some of them were just exceedingly stupid, but couldn’t see any obvious way to mass-privatize a set of posts.  The only action I was able to execute on multiple posts at once was clicking the Delete button, so I figured that “Delete” must be the stand-in term for all actions that involve removing a post from public view, and clicking it would bring up a more detailed menu that asked me whether I really meant a wholesale deletion or just a privatization.

Turns out that “delete” actually means “delete.”

Which I guess is really what I was aiming for anyway, and if I really care all that much about retrieving those posts, I can always visit archive.org.
